Hedge-laying is the traditional method of maintaining hedges to form a strong and effective living barrier to livestock and weather. Not only does it maintain the hedges, but it can also prolong the natural life span of the trees and shrubs within the hedge.

I provide the service of hedge-laying in the traditional Dorset style hedge. These hedges are much more appealing to nesting birds as opposed to regularly trimmed hedges.

I also undertake hedge coppicing of hedges that have been trimmed for many years and that have gone past the point of laying. By coppicing these hedges, it encourages regrowth that can be laid in years to come.
